Rebekahs honor Historical Society Secretary

Sherwood Historical Society Secretary Clyde List sports a Rebekah Lodge medallion he received last week. In order to wear this ornament you have to be the Left Supporter of the Vice Grand, which List now truly is. He even wore his new overalls so he'd look good in the group photo. "There are people across the nation who take this stuff pretty seriously." List commented, "But us Sherwood people are baffled by it." List only joined the club after the Sherwood Historical Society learned that there was no other way to save Rebekah Hall than to keep the group alive.

At the Ory-Gone Historical Society

Lilly Morgan Half Hiding behind a Show Card with Our Mission Statement on it.Clyde the Trail Guide frantically Playing his Banjo.Lilly said: "Wow!! I'm pumped! I think I'm ready to go to the Oregon Historical Society today! I will have all my stuff at the [Sherwood] high school. Pick me up in front of the school at 3:45. We will proceed to OHS and hope to be there for a meeting at 4:30. I think that we will be able to set up our stuff in the main hallway of the place, off to the side of the main desk. I think we are to be at our posts at 5:00. Dress in your Trail Guide outfit, JayCee. Bring yer banjo, but only if you feel like it. I have no idea where to park. Maybe we can dump our stuff off at OHS and then park"

Photos taken Yesterday Evening in the Lobby of the Oregon Historical Society. JayCee says "I'm Still Not Sure Just What we was up to but We Met Some Real Nice People for Sure!"

Hello Grand Ronde!

Grand Ronde Indians having hearty dialogue with Liz Rhode and Friends of History colleagues.
Friends of History went to Grand Ronde Indian Reservation today to hear a two hour presentation. If you think an Indian reservation is a lot of grumpy old folks with nothing good to say, forget it! These people are on the ball. A typical comment: "We're glad to hear from you because you always have as much information for us as we have for you." Parrett Mountain Farm's historic photograph collection was of special interest. "We think we can actually name some of the Indians that appear in those pictures." the spokesman said.
