Trick Photo

There's something slightly wrong with this photograph. Can you tell what it is?

Mrs. Reynolds is having some fun with her camera. The picture is really two pictures in one. Both of them were taken by Mrs. Reynolds' camera last night at the Tualatin Public Library. The old bones you see really are on display there. But they're not nearly as large as they look in this photograph.

I wonder what kind of bones they are.

I wonder what the man is saying about those old bones.

Aye,this looks like some sort of scientific lecture. Perchance over the demise of the said creature in the photo. John Brown

Exactly. Just so, sir. You being a 19th Century personality are of course not burdened with the presentiments and prejudices of the 20th and 21st Century on these topics. Welcome aboard sir. And please don't cough in my face, sir.

If you want to see how big those old bones really are, you will need to go to the Tualatin Public Library to see them in person.

Clyde said...

Those old bones belonged to a creature who looked like an elephant, except it was creature bigger than an elephant, and a whole lot harrier! (Can you imagine a hairy elephant twice the size of any elephant in the zoo!? Ha! I guess not.)

Clyde said...

Some of you kids are too smart for me. I can't answer your questions. Hmmmm. I will think hard about a question to ask right back at you. Let's see. Let me think. AH!! I know! Here's the question and the question is: "Hey folks! What do you think of Mrs. Reynolds? Isn't she cool?"

Clyde said...

Oh yes she is. I am so happy for her because she is your teacher. And you should be happy too. Tell me you agree.

All I can say is: You kids need to stay in school and figure out how to make sure the whole human race doesn't wind up like that pile of old bones!

Clyde said...

Woolly mammoth bones are found all over the place in some parts of the earth. The one in this photo was found over by Fred Meyers in Tualatin when they built the Freeway. Only half the critter was found. It probably washed in from a long ways away. Northern Siberia is filled with Woolly mammoth bones. "Weird" is the word to use when you're talking about the woolly mammoths and why they all died.

c said...

Please go to Tualatin Library and look at the woolly mammoth. You'll be just like Mrs. Reynolds and me. We thought we knew everything, but we went home scared!

The Wooly Mammoth roamed the northern hemisphere of the world for thousands of years. It died off during the Pleistocene period (10,000 years ago. So the critter found in Tualatin could have died before or after the Bretz Flood which was 15,000 years ago. Half of it was buried in the mud and the other half must have washed away, including both of the tusks.

What is that? do you know if its real?
