History Camp 2010 and Governor Whatsizname.

Gov. Gibbs: The Second Governor of the state of Oregon lived on Chehalem Mountain on the Yamhill County side. That is why we were on Gibbs Road! The schoolhouse we were at is called "Gibbs School." Also the graveyard we visited is called "Gibbs Cemetery."

The third video reminds me of the great hero Odysseus who sails all around the world and has many adventures. At the end, his soldiers wander off into the distance. They shout their names just to make sure no one gets lost. Alas! The shouts become fewer and fewer. At the end, no one is left but Odysseus, shouting his own name to himself in the darkness. There is nothing else left to listen to.

Ahhh, I remember the old man Mister Gibbs. He loved raising hay. He loved his horses and buggies. He had me build a bookcase once. John Brown
