Malynda Hart and family are the proud owners of two historic baby books she purchased in a Portland antique shop recently. The books belonged to the family of Sherwood town founder J. C. If I have any time today, I'm going to look into the archives to see if I can find any more Ira Smock photos. Some appeared around 9 months ago in an envelope from Portland.--JR
The only thing I know about Ira is that he cut his hand with a saw at least twice. He lost an entire team of horses into a water-well one time. Judging from newspaper accounts, he was a stumble-bum.
