The Sherwood Historical Society's Clyde List represented Sherwood at the Champoeg Pioneer Farmstead Day event this year. The event was well attended, although Clyde was outclassed by a violinist from Newberg who had been practicing since the age of five. "She played while I plunked. That's about the size of it." he said ruefully.
All such kibitzing aside, the event hosts all manner of demonstrations designed to make you wonder if Oregon will ever be part of the United States someday, or will remain a disputed territory forever. Thank God we've got President Polk to iron things out.
