Friends of History went to Grand Ronde Indian Reservation today to hear a two hour presentation. If you think an Indian reservation is a lot of grumpy old folks with nothing good to say, forget it! These people are on the ball. A typical comment: "We're glad to hear from you because you always have as much information for us as we have for you." Parrett Mountain Farm's historic photograph collection was of special interest. "We think we can actually name some of the Indians that appear in those pictures." the spokesman said. |

Hey this is Lilly Morgan.Has anyone found the Indian Trail that goes over Parrett Mountain? I have a couple of maps that end at the top!I know the Heater's cabin was built right in the middle of the Trail. I can't wait to walk part of that trail this summer!
I think we need to talk to mr. heater about this trail.
Oh yeah! Quailhurst Farm has an Indian Trail too. Could it be part of the same thing? Some of us from the SHSociety went up there Saturday, but there was so little time with the Art Walk going on and all. (The Pinot Noire was not half bad either!)
