Cruisin' Sherwood

Like a kindly old grandfather, Morback Museum oversees Veterans Park during the Car Show. Live music consisted of Clyde List wacking away on the banjo. The Museum's model train exhibit was open for the first time.

I jus wanna know one thing...What's that crank in front of the car for?

The crank served a similar purpose as the blade on a modern power mower. Just yank it around a few times with your hand and you'll find out. [I'm kidding! Always disconnect the spark plug on a lawn mower even if you plan to turn the blade only a little bit.] With model T's, the trick was to hold the crank with your hands cupped a certain way so that it didn't take your fingers along for the ride when the pistons started to fire.
