History Camp at War

The business community of Old Town Sherwood survived several kid-raids today. Much metal was collected for the War Effort, along with "zillions of business cards." Bill Maplethorpe dropped by to explain the things that really mattered.

This 4th Grade was the Last of Its Kind!


This crop of 4th Graders was the last students in our school system who were born in the 1900s. No one after them will ever feel quite the same amount of sympathy for we who suffered through World War II and Viet Nam and the Hindenburg and all the rest. But we did our best to leave a good impression.

Sherwood 4th Graders at the Heritage Center

Guests from the Sherwood School District began their week long trek to the Sherwood Heritage Center today! We were happy to see so many Fourth Graders, but the ghost on the stairs at Moback House wasn't quite so sure!

The great thing about spending all Monday washing clothes was that you could look forward to spending all of Tuesday ironing them. No wonder so many European emigrants simply went out to the woods to live with the Native Americans!
